Project Management Services – Due to the fast pace of today’s business, many times organizations are faced with increasing demand without the ability to hire additional resources. Ascynd can help by augmenting your existing staff with senior project managers (PMs). The PMs are seasoned professionals who have proven track records with the skills requested (e.g. ERP implementation, process/system integration, network builds, etc.). We can assist you in delivering your projects without the need to hire full-time equivalents.
Methodology – Many businesses have attempted to use project management to save money on implementations and ensure the success of their key projects only to abandon the project after spending a lot of money and other resources. Ascynd has developed a methodology that is simple and flexible enough to scale for any size or type of project. The methodology includes documentation templates and various communication/ reporting approaches. The templates feed into one another and provide a system that enables fast project initiation, documentation, reporting and communication. The methodology supports the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). We sell the methodology as a package if you wish to drive the deployment or Ascynd can provide consulting services to assist with the implementation.
Training – Ascynd is a source of various types of project management training. We provide Certified Associate in Project Management and Project Management Professional exam preparation classes. We also provide affordable classes for people who need to maintain certifications or hone their PM skills.
Our approach is facilitative where the attendees participate in group sessions and put the course content to practical use. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet our clients’ unique needs. You may either schedule two or three-day classes or we can work with you to customize scheduling and content that meets your needs. We understand the challenges of carving out two or three consecutive days to attend a class. For classes with at least five attendees, we will come to the client’s site to provide the training. We provide flexible scheduling, but each session will need to be at least two hours long. We also provide on-line asynchronous (pre-recorded) classes and on-the-job mentoring.
Our goal is to help you build your internal project management expertise. We work with you to create development plans and provide services that help you achieve your goals.
Project Management Office (PMO) Consulting – If you are challenged with demand that far exceeds your resource supply or if you are having difficulty getting a full picture of your organization’s projects, you may be ready to establish a PMO. Although a PMO provides many other functions, objective project prioritization and project reporting tend to be the two quick value-add services. For those clients who have begun to build internal project management expertise, Ascynd provides an assessment of the organization’s project management capability maturity. Based on the assessment, Ascynd can help you set up a PMO that supports your organization’s current maturity level and also create a plan to assist your team reach higher levels of capability.
